Chesapeake Bay

 Dozier's Regatta Point Yachting Center

The fog bank covered everything on land and sea over 100 feet away.

We have spent the last week and a half on the Chesapeake Bay. It will end tomorrow with our arrival in Portsmouth, Va. After our stop in Annapolis, we went to Calvert Marina on Solomons Isl. We wanted to stay one night and make an early departure the next day. The fog kept us in until about 10:00 am, so we exited the Severn River and after facing three ft. waves, we decided that Calvert Marina was a nice place to stay for a while, so we turned around and went back to the same dock we left 2 hours earlier. We stayed in Calvert for two more days and then made a picture perfect day trip down to Deltaville, Va.
We met a couple from N.J. (Mitch and Carole) and they have the same idea as us, but they have made this trip many times before, So our plan is to follow them for a while.
Daisy has learned to relax a little more with the help of Bun. They have been riding on the fly bridge while we are traveling and only wake up when we enter port. What a life of a dog.
We are now sitting at Dozier's Regatta Point Yachting Center on Broad Creek enjoying the beautiful sunset and warmer weather. The days are in the middle 60's, but the evenings turn a little chilly once the sun sets, so south we go.
